The Office of the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction provides leadership, guidance and support for all of the instructional programs offered by ONC BOCES both within the BOCES and with the 19 component school districts.  Those programs can be classified in two categories: programs that directly serve students and those that support the delivery of instruction.  Student programs include Distance Learning, Career and Technical Education, Alternative Education, Special Education and Adult and Continuing Education. Instructional Support Programs include the Offices of Curriculum and Instruction, SETRC, Instructional Technology, Educational Media Services Library and School Library System.

The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction reports directly to the District Superintendent and is responsible for the following duties:

• Providing leadership to ensure that all staff work toward the fulfillment of BOCES Instructional Program and Services Goals;
• Supervising and evaluating the Directors of Special Education, Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Media Services, Instructional Technology, and the Principals of the Learning Centers in Grand Gorge and Milford;
• Developing and monitoring a comprehensive professional development and evaluation system for all employees in Instructional Divisions;
• Planning and developing new instructional services to enhance the educational opportunities of all learners in the ONC BOCES region;
• Providing instructional leadership and support to component school districts to ensure success for all students.
