FIRE DRILLS..........must be held in accordance with SED regulations!!
According to NYS Education Law 807 and NYS Fire Code 408.3.2 ~ At least two additional fire drills shall be held during summer school in buildings where summer school is conducted, and ONE of such drills shall be held during the FIRST WEEK of summer school.
Back to school and the rule to follow...............8 Fire Drills and 4 Lock-Down Drills
8 between September 1-December 31. 4 between January 1-June 30.
BUS DRILLS..........A minimum of three (3) drills on each school bus during the school year!! The first one to be conducted during the first seven (7) days of school. The second between November 1st and December 31st. The third between March 1st and April 30th.

NEWS from OSHA: Requirements for the Revised Hazard Communication Standard are being aligned with the United Nations' Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). Two significant changes contained in the revised standard require the use of new labeling elements and a standardized format for Safety Data Sheets (SDSs),formerly known as Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs). The new label elements and SDS requirements will improve worker understanding of the hazards associated with the chemicals in their workplace. OSHA is phasing in the specific requirements over several years (December 1,2013 to June 1, 2016).
