Home Health Aide

Home Health Aide

Home health aides play an important part in the healthcare field. Whether it is seniors who need a little extra care, or a younger person with special needs, home health aides bring healthcare to where some people need it most.

To be eligible for this class you must be 18 years of age or older and have a minimum eighth-grade reading level and sixth-grade math comprehension level. Students will complete classroom instruction and clinical time in a healthcare care setting and a long-term-care facility.

Upon successful completion of all requirements, students will be entered into the Home Care Registry, which allows them to be eligible for employment. Class cost is $1,283.00 for HHA, and includes uniform, textbook, and certification. Partial scholarships are also available to qualified applicants. Please contact your local CDO Workforce for tuition assistance information.
