Please take notice that in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, The Boy Scouts of America Equal Access Act of 2001, and New York Executive Law Section 296 and following:

The Otsego Northern Catskills BOCES offers to secondary school students and adults a variety of career and technical education programs, commensurate with the interests and capabilities of those desiring and having a need for preparatory training.  It is the goal of these programs to prepare successful students to enter the world of work and/or higher education.  (Please refer to Board Policy #4314.)  A copy of the secondary vocational education courses offered are available to district residents and may be obtained on our web site www.oncboces.org or by calling (607) 588-6291 to request a mailing.

NOTICE OF BOCES

ANNUAL MEETING

 

Please take notice that the BOARD OF COOPERATIVE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES OF THE SOLE SUPERVISORY DISTRICT OF OTSEGO, DELAWARE, SCHOHARIE, AND GREENE COUNTIES (BOCES) will hold the annual meeting of the trustees and members of the Boards of Education of its component school districts on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 6:30 p.m. at the Otsego Area Occupational Center, Milford, New York. 


Four (4) seats on the Board of Cooperative Educational Services are up for election. Petitions for nominating candidates for the office of BOCES Board members must be filed no later than March 13, 2020. Such petitions shall be filed with the District Clerk between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on any normal business day.


The Board of Cooperative Educational Services has presented its tentative administrative, capital and program budgets for 2020-2021 to the trustees and members of the Boards of Education of component school districts and will review at the annual meeting. The following are summaries of the tentative administrative, capital and program budgets.  The amounts stated are based on current estimates and may be subject to change. Copies of the proposed administrative, capital and program budgets will be available for inspection by the public between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in Otsego Northern Catskills BOCES Administrative Offices located at the Northern Catskills Occupational Center, 2020 Jump Brook Road, Grand Gorge, New York and in the Superintendent’s office of each component school district commencing on March 1, 2020.
