Student and Employee Discipline

The Employee Relations office is able to assist with various Student and Employee Disciplinary matters.

Student Discipline

The Employee Relations Service:
  • Provides skilled and experienced Hearing Officers for Superintendent’s Hearings.
  • Answers questions regarding Student Discipline.
  • Reviews and edits letters regarding Student Discipline.
  • Offers various helpful templates including Notice of Superintendent’s Hearing, Disciplinary Decision Letter, and Behavioral Contract.
Employee Discipline

The Employee Relations Service:
  • Conducts employee misconduct investigations on behalf of the District.
  • Answers discipline related questions regarding Unclassified and Classified Civil Service Personnel.
  • Reviews and edits memos, letters, and disciplinary documents to employees.
  • Recommends disciplinary action(s) in consultation with the Service's and District’s legal counsel.
  • Offers various helpful templates including Counseling Memo/Holt Letter, Letter of Reprimand, and Last Chance and Termination Agreements.
  • Negotiates termination agreements (please note that Section 75 hearings or 3020-a proceedings are handled by the District’s legal counsel).
