The ONC BOCES Online Learning Program offers flexible, customized learning opportunities through accredited online curriculum provided by approved vendors. Through individual meetings, we create courses designed to fit the unique needs of both the student and the district. Online courses are just one of the tools we use, and the way they are delivered can be completely tailored to meet each student’s individual needs and circumstances.

Program Services

The ONC BOCES Online Learning Program provides comprehensive support for students, school staff, and families throughout the online learning process. Services include:

• Student Enrollment & Registration – Assistance with registering students into online courses.

• Individualized Course Development – One-on-one sessions with the teacher of record to create and customize courses to meet student and district needs.

• Student Orientations – Guided introductions to online courses and platforms to ensure students are prepared for success.

• Ongoing Support – Individualized assistance for academic questions, technical concerns, and troubleshooting throughout the course.

• Course Completion Documentation – Issuance of course completion letters to the district.

• Responsive Information Sharing – Timely communication with districts, families, and staff regarding student progress and updates.

OHM Learning Network – Buzz

In partnership with OHM BOCES, ONC BOCES supports area educators in offering online courses through the Buzz learning management system. This platform provides access to curriculum developed by hundreds of New York State certified teachers. Districts may use existing content, customize it, or create their own content within the Buzz platform.
