This shared service provides participating school districts VOIP service between and among participating ONC BOCES districts and BOCES. The system also greatly reduces the expense of local and long distance calling. Aid is based on a charge to school districts for basic connection service at 50% of the base cost of the service. The telecommunication expenses included in the CO-SER are E-rate eligible. BOCES applies for the E-rate refund which is returned to the districts.
