Otsego County Sheriffs visit New Visions Engineering students to demo robots

 On Thursday May 2nd Officers Sargent Solovitch, Deputy Cox, and Undersheriff Allison, of the Otsego County Sheriff's office visited the New Visions Engineering program to demonstrate the robots they have for use in law enforcement.  The robot pictured is used by law enforcement to implement a level of safety for the officers.  The robot can be deployed and remotely driven in to situations where there are unknowns that may cause safety concerns for the officers, whether it be a perpetrator or other dangerous situation.  After giving an overview of the robot, the attachments it can use, and safety discussion, the students were allowed to drive it around the school hallway to experiment with it's functions.
