Virtual field trips connect students to content providers such as museums, zoos, and government agencies to name a few. The sessions are fully interactive. Collaborations:
Collaborations involves a fully interactive videoconference connection between two or more locations to complete a project. Most collaborations are free. ONC BOCES assists teachers in finding partners and offering several collaborations through the New York State Distance Learning Consortium.

Collaborations are available for grade school students to participate with other students in various "projects". Classroom connections educate students as they practice reading skills, speaking skills, listening skills, writing skills, and following direction as they interact via videoconference. Examples include: Monster Match, Flat Stanley, The Mitten Project, Erie Canal, Turkey Disguises, and Brown Bear.
